Cactus Flowers
My Mother and I running around on a family errand once commented we were cactus flowers, blooming early and late and enduring. So I did this drawing.

this is just a study for a painting of gardenias, but it’s nice and I hope you agree.

Little Dutch Girl Memory in sketch
Returning to my hometown after twenty years, the wonderful childhood memories included an early Grange Fair Halloween, with me in a lovely Dutch costume, to honor early Connecticut settlers and fashioned in great detail by my beautiful parents. They cared! I guess that’s one of the most important of our needs in childhood. Gone? not really - their ways mean the good of them will live forever!

Old Mill Rockville Connecticut 2005
I lived in my studio at a neighboring mill temporarily and the waterfall view was a treat. This is much nicer in real life - watercolor on paper 12x18 inchews. The network of mills along the watercourse of river and many falls, powered the mills that powered early America! They are treasured, and repurosed often, thanks to the rocksolid construction of centuries ago.
