“Entertaining Angels” is a restoration of “Lest you Dash your Foot” plus variations.
it is a wonderful and positive show of one of my favorite images. The original is a bit dreamy - the restoration will be faithful except for that aspect - it will have a bit more shape to it in places and better quality. The restoration is happening because I formatted it without protective glazing and so some impact to the tones in places happened. There is no damage to the painting. The original painting was created in response to losses of life in the headlines too much. Friends and I got busy with prayers for our Angels to get up to speed here and help us to foresee and prevent issues to our innocents. I hope we are still on it. I keep seeing an image of a Ground Zero or a Hospital Emergency room or MASH unit - with the Angels showing - like graphic layering “hide” / “unhide”. they ARE there and they ARE doing.
But in the meantime, it’s a wonderful painting to have around!
